Welcome to my site of model police cars from around the world.
This is me when I first started as a Traffic Officer with the Lower Hutt City Council on April 13, 1977.
Prior to 1992 New Zealand had separate Traffic and Police enforcement agencies, these being City Council Traffic Departments along with the government Ministry of Transport and the New Zealand Police.
Over a period of time the City Council Traffic Departments were absorbed into the Ministry of Transport to become one nationwide traffic enforcement service completely separate from the New Zealand Police
In 1992 the Ministry of Transport Traffic Officers were integrated into the New Zealand Police, thus New Zealand had only one enforcement that deals with all traffic and crime matters.
I retired as a Senior Police Constable on April 12, 2013, with a total of 36 years of service. I returned as a civilian after 2 months and stayed on for a further 2.5 years giving me a total of 38.5 years which is long enough for anyone.
I first started collecting police patches as most police officers do, but soon ran out of wall space so decided to collect police cars thus allowing the wall space to diminish even quicker. To see the latest cars added to my site just click here.
If you would like to visit my collection of Police patches and badges just click here.
I would like to thank Wim Pieterson, Gregor Wenda, Walt Conroy and Brian Herold of Conroy Cruisers, and Jason Hess, and of course Mike Thomas who makes The Mike Thomas Collection. Mike's models are all hand made in very limited numbers.
Thank you for helping me enlarge my collection, without their help and assistance I would not have some of the models that I have. Thank you.
As I get more police vehicles these will be added to my site. So far I have over 1002 diecast police cars displayed on this web site with more to be added.
If you want to see some then and now pictures of me just click here. This page will show the some of the patrol cars that I drove. The red car was a traffic patrol car that I obtained after four years of searching while working and after I retired. I have taken it back to being a marked Ministry of Transport car as a retirement project.
Please enjoy my site and any comments will be welcome, and please don't forget to sign my GUEST BOOK.
